Frequently use this establishment for our Friday night dinner. Good food, normally freshly cooked and very tasty. One of the best options in the area that we have found. One tip is to check you order before you leave. Highly recommended. View all feedback.
What Legin C doesn't like about Nk Indian Food:
My family of 4 who are not Indian walked in and were seated, no menus or drinks were offered, we sat for 10 minutes and another table came in , 2 Indian guys, the waitress asked them if they had ordered and started to serve them ignoring us and not making eye contact. At that point we walked out as we were not welcome. I understand they were understaffed but it seems like discrimination. View all feedback.
My kids decided to try this when they saw the Special Biryani. Flavor-wise, the Special Biryani is very good. Heat-wise, it builds very quickly. All of us had to alternate between that and naan bread. My oldest got a glass of milk and started spooning the (watery thin) yogurt sauce on his. We also had the gobi Manchuria, which our picky veggie avoider actually liked. Our middle one had butter chicken, which he inhaled. I ordered palak paneer for my wife and requested it not spicy , in case they add chiles or something else spicy to their version. She had one tiny bite and declared it was too spicy. The rest of us tried it, and, while there 's a little bit of a black pepper note at the end, it 's not actually spicy. We 'll likely be back, but I 'll have to pick up something for my wife elsewhere, because she won 't even entertain the thought of trying it again.

Took a chance on this place, as they do not have too many reviews compared to others. However, I am absolutely glad I did. This Indian food is on 1000!! The taste/flavor profiles is familiar, but next level. For example, the butter chicken completely altered my expectation of what butter chicken should taste like. My roommate had to lock his leftovers in the fridge. I was still successful in stealing some. The goat Korma was delightful. I wish it wasn't bone in, but that doesnt take away from the taste at all. Leave some for the next day, and you will be blessed by getting an even better meal, as the seasonings will have time to get all the way through the food. 10/10 if crack tasted like this I would be an addict.
I am writing this in between bites because the food is so wonderful and SOOOO happy to find this gem. They deserve all the love. I love Indian food, have tried it many places in the states and even the UK. Of all the high rated places, our favorite was Persis Biryani in Tallahassee, FL. After moving to Maryland and trying some of the best places in the state (including one restaurant in Columbia that is said to be one of the best Indian restaurants on the east coast), I was giving up hope on finding excellent Indian food. THIS restaurant blows them out of the water. And it turns out they are part of a small franchise we are fortunate enough to have apparently, tastes the same as I remember in Tallahassee. The biryani is incredible. Very soft tandoori style chicken, perfectly spiced- with the red onion and hard boiled egg I was missing from many other places elevates this dish. Excellent food, please give them a try.
After 'Sneha Indian Restaurant ' shutdown for good, the need for affordable Indian food was filled by 'Persis ' which timed its opening perfectly to get the rebound 'Sneha ' customers. The location used to be a Pakistani restaurant but now serves Indian food under a different management. Its a no frills place but then again you are there for the food and not the ambience i suppose. The food is excellent. They don 't skimp on the spice level so nothing is Americanized . We tried the paneer tikka masala, chicken chettinad, babycorn 65, cut mirchi and few other items and everything was good. That said i usually order my Indian fix spicy but these guys take spicy pretty seriously so i suggest starting with medium spice first. The portions are right on par with 'Sneha ' and other Indian restaurants in the area as are the prices. Its a perfect takeout place and the only compliant i have is their website. It will overwrite each time you add an item, so if you are ordering 5 items the final cart will only have the last entered item ! This means you need to phone in your order. Also, i hope they come up with some specials and coupons to attract more customers on weekdays.
