Located in the heart of Catania, on one of the most beautiful streets in the historic center, the restaurant successfully combines atmosphere, cuisine, and character. The outdoor seating is elegant and relaxed, with rattan chairs, umbrellas, and a street view that lets you fully enjoy the baroque center. Perfect for a leisurely lunch or a long aperitivo. We found a rich and generous pasta with eggplant ragù, with those deep Sicilian flavors you expect—and that aren 't always found. But the real surprise was the cungatizzo—crispy focaccias topped with prosciutto, figs, walnuts, and mint—a bold and delicious combination. It 's no coincidence that their motto is Cungatizzo is better than pizza : it 's hard to argue with that. To finish, an ice-cold Spritz as the afternoon passed by. What more could you ask for? Fair prices, friendly service, a clear identity. Buatta knows exactly what it wants to be—and it succeeds.
