Ye Olde Nags Head - Castleton

Beautiful experience for lunch today. really friendly reception and fast service. the food was very tasty and served in a great atmosphere, open fire and everything. perfect for a post-way lunch!

Stayed for one night B B in the Derwent room. Lovely room, comfy bed, even had a complimentary bottle of wine! Staff were very friendly, smiley. Handy having the car park too. Had eveing meal, again very nice. Breakfast was delicious, the lady who took our order was super nice and very friendly. All in all fabulous stay, would highly recommend and will be definitely returning.

I had a lovely overnight stay with my wife and her 91-year-old mother. The location is fantastic, with convenient free parking. The building has a charming, historical character. The bar offers an impressive selection of ales and fair-priced drinks. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner and breakfast, both featuring high-quality ingredients. The staff was very friendly and efficient. It truly felt like a trip back in time!

It was challenging to assess my stay since I booked one of the smallest rooms. However, considering the reasonable price, I would give my experience a high rating. Despite the room's tiny size, it included a complimentary wine. I enjoyed a delightful fish and chips for dinner, and in the morning, I can confidently say I had one of the most delicious full English breakfasts I've ever tasted during my trip to Britain.

We visited this pub a few years ago during Garland Day and loved it. When we returned for Garland Day 2022, we decided to come back here despite the many other great pubs nearby. We were not disappointed! The Stanage Stout was excellent, and our meals were delicious and reasonably priced, especially considering the generous portion sizes.
