I had a lovely overnight stay with my wife and her 91-year-old mother. The location is fantastic, with convenient free parking. The building has a charming, historical character. The bar offers an impressive selection of ales and fair-priced drinks. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner and breakfast, both featuring high-quality ingredients. The staff was very friendly and efficient. It truly felt like a trip back in time!
We visited this pub a few years ago during Garland Day and loved it. When we returned for Garland Day 2022, we decided to come back here despite the many other great pubs nearby. We were not disappointed! The Stanage Stout was excellent, and our meals were delicious and reasonably priced, especially considering the generous portion sizes.
