Was absolutely gutted today, went in for chips n gravy and i couldn't have picked a worse time. Somone had orderd 7 fish and chips and i think 7 chips n scallops. After almost 20 mins for the fish n chips to be done they then started on the next truck load of food, they should have quickly served me my chips n gravy and then carried on with the truck load. The atmosphere was equally great, making it an enjoyable experience overall. I highly recommend trying the Chips with Sausage and Curry Sauce, as well as the classic Fish and Chips!
The fish was divine, perfectly cooked and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The chips were real good as well. Very good chippy. Lost points because seating area wasn't very large or comfortable, service was not excellent and the prices were a little high 35p for a sauce packet is taking the mick! Overall, good chippy and if you find yourself here, do go and get yourself some just maybe bring your own sauce! Service: Dine in
A shame .. I don't like to be negative but .. had to go back into shop after getting outside and unwrapping only half a tray of chips. The fishcake took up other half. Basically seemed to skimp. Childs portion of chips. Not being negative , but won't go back. Fishcake was also overcooked ! Food: 1 Service: 1
