Pho 5 - Castle Pines
Pho 5
Description
This casual Vietnamese eatery is best known for its exceptional pho: rich, balanced broth, fresh veggies and tender meats. Spring rolls, egg rolls and boba earn praise, and the clean, friendly staff handle takeout, delivery and dine-in well. Prices are moderate, making it a reliable neighborhood choice for lunch or dinner. Expect mostly great service, though a few customers report occasional long waits and inconsistent portions or Pad Thai quality.

I 'm guessing the Vietnamese food is good, but I wouldn 't recommend for the Pad Thai specifically. A previous reviewer claimed it was the best they 'd had in Denver. To that I respond: must have been the first time you had Pad Thai in Denver. The dish wasn 't offensive but it had no redeeming qualities. I ordered it to go and asked the guy to make it super, super spicey...like spicier that you think might be legal to serve and he responded saying that he was typing super, super spicey into the order. I also added extra chicken for something like $5 6 extra. My total OTD price including 15% tip was over $25, which is $4+ more than I 've ever paid locally, for the same order. The dish came with a spice level that I would consider medium basically everywhere else in the metro. And I could count the small bites of chicken using less than my fingers and toes (at first, couldn 't see a single piece w/o digging under the noodles). I had about 8 10 bits of this and stopped again, not because it was gross, but because it wasn 't worth the calories. This was based on one experience and I 'm sure the rest of their food is fine/great, but I do not recommend the Pad Thai, and no matter how much spice or protein you 're interested in consuming. My sister ordered food from here for us, and it's incredibly delicious! I had the rare steak pho, which was already flavorful before adding extra sauces. The person on the phone was extremely kind to my sister, providing exceptional service. Thank you for making delicious food! We will definitely be ordering from this restaurant again in the future. 10/10 Service: Delivery Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Spring Rolls, Egg Rolls
The service was bad. Waiter had me waiting 1 hour for a Pho. People came in after me and were getting served before me. I asked about it and the manager had no explanation. I let it slide in the beginning and then the wait time got too long and I asked about it and he had no explanation. He tried to lie and say it was because they were short staffed, but it couldn’t be as most of the customers who came in after me were getting their orders. That was messed up. I ordered Pho 5 through DoorDash and forgot to ask for some extra chili oil for my order. They added it to my order without charging extra and that meant a lot to me. They went above and beyond. Love this place so much! Service: Takeaway Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Pho with Brisket and Meatballs, Spring Rolls, Egg Rolls
