Gather - Castle Douglas

Our foodie highlight of the week in Galloway was Gather , everything was perfect , the weather behaved so we had clear views across the to the Isle of Man from the front of the restaurant ,, what a location , the service was superb from walking through the door to leaving a few hours later everybody was friendly and so efficient but the real highlight was the food , from the prosciutto ,pesto and mozzarella flatbread to start to the Galloway crab and king prawn bruschetta for mains every mouthfull was exquisite, highly recommended if in the area

Lovely views overlooking the bay such a beautiful venue that has maximised the view by a modern architectural design. Indoor and outdoor seating both great. We were there for their breakfast menu which was eaten with delight. Flexible menu so you can add items as you please. The came recommended by multiple friends and now recommended by me too. Definitely worth a visit

Service was impeccable. Quick, friendly and efficient. Food was perfect. Coffee could be stronger. Americano and flat white felt that they needed an extra shot. Overall a great eating experience.

Really nice venue. On a clear day, the views are wonderful. We were greeted very quickly and taken to our table. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Excellent service. The place itself is lovely and has very clean, well-kept toilet facilities. I was slightly disappointed by the starter. We had the haggis Bon bons, which I didn't feel were presented on the plate very well. They didn't seem worth the money. The main meals were very tasty, well presented, and very filling. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

Excellent service and fantastic environment, just the place for a birthday contract.
