Polarbites - Kirkcudbright

During my week in Kirkcudbright, I read about this restaurant online and knew I had to try it. I ended up going three times in five days because the food was that good! I enjoyed the local catch of the day, while my wife had a delicious seafood platter. If you have the chance to visit, I highly recommend trying it out. If you love excellent fish, this is the place to go!

I only knew this place as a fish and chip shop, but yesterday I discovered that they also have a sit-down restaurant with an extensive menu. They allow you to bring your own wine without charging a corkage fee, and they even provide wine glasses and a frozen sleeve to keep your white wine chilled. We ordered the queenie scallops in white wine and garlic cream sauce. I had a salad with new potatoes, while my partner had a chips salad. The portions were delicious. The service was friendly, even with the heat from the kitchen. We will definitely make it a point to stop by Kirkcudbright again in the future!

This is a fantastic fish restaurant with delicious meals, a friendly staff, and a lovely atmosphere. It’s located in Kirkcudbright, and I highly recommend it! If you ever get a chance to visit, it's a must-try! xxx

We have been in kbt for 40 years vacation in kbt, with silvercraigs caravan park, now progressed on the sea caravan park, but we always visit polarbites for a tasty and before we go home, we get a huge freezer pack from the fishing business next to the door to take, as the prduce is by far the best of the sea,

Absolutely love it here food always fabulous, fresh and massive portion. Great choice not your average chippie. Staff are friendly and helpful. Over all best fish and chips ever. Roll on my next holiday for my next helping. Thanks polarbites you rock!!!!!
