Used to be much better menu has changed and just seems to have no care or leadership in the restaurant. Food all over floor for the duration of our visit. Brisket hard fat and chewy and if you can’t do brisket as a bbq joint then…

I never review places but I am at a loss for what is going on at this place. I used to rave about Big Mikes as the best BBQ and food in town. The downfall of this place should be studied. We haven’t been in a few months but it looks like they are getting ready to close or extremely downsizing. The menu is limited from what it was and prices seem to have increased. We ordered Mac cheese, wings and Brussels. The food was gross, there were flies all over the place, the tables were filthy and the staff seemed checked out. Unfortunately one of our favorite places is now a never again. What a shame.

First and last visit on 6/09/2024. We went for ribs for my kid's 24th birthday. We trusted the reviews. Waitress took my order and came back 15 minutes later and said they were out of ribs. We should have left because we really wanted ribs, but we opted for something else on the menu. The burnt ends were subpar compared to other local NC BBQ restaurants and my son's Texas style brisket was very dry. The sides (baked beans, coleslaw, fries) were all mediocre. Very disappointed and will never go back there's just too many good BBQ places in our area.

I was sorry to see their Apex location close, but the food is excellent and Bella was a great server! Love the rotating taps as well. Blue cheese slaw isn't on the menu any longer but they still made it for me on request. One of my favorite local bbq joints.

Gone down hill in the past couple years. Used to be a 5 star review but: They removed items that made them unique. The meat is tough and flavorless now. Food was served cold
