Norms - Carson
Norms
Description
This Carson diner delivers classic, affordable comfort food—big portions, standout pancakes, baked potatoes and a much‑talked steak special—in a casual, family‑friendly setting with easy parking. Service and cleanliness are inconsistent: many guests praise warm, attentive staff and quick table service, while others report slow or unresponsive phone/pickup service, dirty dishware, missing utensils and occasional cold or incorrect orders. A solid, busy neighborhood choice if you accept variable service.

Wow, the NORMS SPECIAL STEAK DINNER, particularly the chef's special cut, is something you absolutely have to try at NORMS. Just a heads up, this place can get pretty busy on Sundays! The manager, Samantha, is delightful as well. On the menu, I definitely recommend the Steak Dinner for $16.99, but they also have an amazing dinner special for only $9.99. I can't wait to see you all there! Oh, and by the way, Danny Trejo stopped by!
As someone from the East Coast, my visit to NORMS was a refreshing experience. The restaurant boasts an extensive menu with a wide range of options. It reminded me of IHOP, as it offers a breakfast menu in addition to soups and sandwiches. They also serve ribs, which seem to be one of their signature offerings. I chose the Cajun chicken sandwich, and it definitely met my expectations. I opted for tater tots as my side. Their beverage selection includes various Pepsi products. I had no issues during my visit to NORMS, so if you're in the area, I highly recommend checking it out. Plus, it's very affordable!
The food was delicious, featuring a great variety of options for kids. However, the service could be improved. Overall, everything else met my expectations. Food rating: 4/5.
I gave it five stars because it was really good for a 1 or 2 star restaurant. I ordered outt of the ordinary and had liver and onions. And it was good! And shady surprised me most was I was stuffed. It came with soup, I had meatball soup and it was delicious. Three meal also included a baked potatoes with sour cream and chives, squash, salad and even dessert! All for 13 bucks. Reminded me of Norms of my youth when o it was soooooooo cheap, yet good. We had to fine outside, which was better than inside. I was pleased that that particular was all whole food, nothing processed. That's hard to going these days.
