Hachi is a favorite Japanese restaurant in LA, with a cozy ambiance and delicious food reminiscent of Japan. The sashimi is fresh, the hot pot is full of tasty greens, and the sake pairs perfectly with the menu. Despite some high expectations on certain dishes, the overall experience is authentic and impressive. The attentive service, variety of options, and quality of food are consistently outstanding, making Hachi a hidden gem in Torrance. While some may find it a bit pricey, the overall experience, food quality, and great service make it worth a visit.

I used to love coming here but everything about this place has changed. Besides covid experience, i tried to be rational about everything but from service to food.... everything is different from before. Most of the items that i come here for were not available, sold out? Sold out after an hour of opening? Thought it was just this time but i tried to come in and order those entrees multiple times and it wasn’t available as well. Their service seems to be struggling. Had reservation but was seated after a long wait.Very disappointing experience. Sad how the restaurant have changed to much

My last visit was Xmas Sure missed the best Izakaya in LA because of COVID. But Hachi has survived and is still Ichiban in my opinion!!. With expanded nigiri sushi and great classic Izakaya dishes plus truly outstanding hospitality from Japanese servers, this joint was packed under the tent. And my dog was welcome to join us. That’s about as good as it can get!!

The food here tastes amazing. The “skewer” items are a very generous portion. Try the beef tongue. The meat is extremely tender and soft. The strip steak has a great sauce with it. The Kobe beef and uni sashimi is incredible.
