**Dining at Worker Bee Cafe: A Mixed Bag of Experiences** Worker Bee Cafe has garnered a spectrum of reviews, showcasing its potential alongside areas needing improvement. While many patrons rave about the delicious breakfasts, including light, fluffy biscuits and perfectly cooked pancakes, others lament bland and overpriced dishes. The service receives both praise for its friendliness and criticism for issues such as unclear billing. Although some menu items shine, like the shrimp and grits, others disappoint, with complaints about old ingredients. Overall, the cafe offers a vibrant atmosphere, yet diners should approach with caution regarding food quality and pricing transparency.
Breakfast was very good, our waitress was great! Pretty terrace to enjoy some flowers with your meal.
Initial thoughts upon visiting: Good menu selection, good beer selection, very friendly staff. Prices aren 't bad for Carpinteria. Some things seem a little overpriced, while other items are actually cheap. I ordered shrimp and grits. Dare I say it? Thiers is better than the place in Santa Barbara that specializes in Cajun brunch. Hard to believe, but it 's true! Tasty shrimp, good quality homemade grits, spinach. Only thing missing is the andouille. My companion had a breakfast burrito with corned beef. It was very large and deemed Delicious. We took home one of their large, pricy cinnamon rolls because they were supposed to be great. They aren 't. Meh. Overall: We like it. Thumbs up.
This place is absolutely spectacular. The food is delicious and the service is amazing. We have been to the Worker Bee Cafe at least a handful of times now and the major thing to mention is consistency we have never been disappointed. The pancakes are to die for as well as the hash browns. Definitely, worth the 40 min drive each week just to be welcomed by the amazing staff and owner who remembers every face. This is by far the best breakfast place I’ve ever been to.
The food was gross and overpriced for what we got. Onion rings tasted like water. The pancakes were rubbery like Bisquick. Paid an extra $7 for a handful of blueberries thrown on top and cold syrup. Forgot the bacon. No butter, napkins, or utensils. I wenthome and took a covid test to make sure I hadn?t lost my sense of taste (I didn?t, the food was just that bland).
Rather pricy for a breakfast place, but everything was freshly made in house from scratch, and was delicious, so was worth it. I make my own Hollandaise at home from scratch, and you could tell the same at this place. My husband had the corned beef hash, and you could tell the difference from their freshly made one to the gross in the can style most restaurants use. I woulddefinitely recommend this place, provided you have no issue paying $20+ a plate for breakfast.
