I knew vicolo for the delicious chevice, ravioli with rabbit, the pulp with scallops and bacon. Tonight we decided to go there for the Pizza. Good food, warm ambience and friendly service
How many times in your life you have been in front of a menu and you would like to try everything? Not very often to me. Whatever you chose you will enjoy a great experience . My husband and I visited for lunch. We ate there many years ago and it was lovely. Unfortunately this time the food was very disappointing. My starter of burata has a thick skin. The Brocollini and green beans had been overcooked and there was no flavoured sauce to accompany it such as balsamic etc. I ordered the fish for main, the fish was cooked okay, however again very bland, no seasoning and overcooked green vegetables again. There was a sauce provided however I'm not sure what it was as I could not taste anything, it had absolutely no flavour. The service was nice, the staff were friendly and accommodating providing blankets in the cold weather. I also liked how they were flexible and provided me with affagato after my meal. I believe the quality of produce is good, but better attention needs to be paid to the seasoning and cooking of the food. I am actually curious if the chef was absent this evening and a trainee was instead on. If I had this information I would perhaps return again, if the head chef is responsible absolutely not i am afraid.
