Portofino's Pizza - Carnegie

I ordered a Sicilian pizza and it was quite disappointing. It didn’t even resemble a traditional Sicilian pizza. I won’t be ordering from them again. They really need to learn how to make a proper Sicilian pizza or consider shutting down for good.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and appreciation for Mr. Raymond Douglas. Thanks to him, I recently saw another increase in my bank account. I must admit that he is an exceptional broker. This was easily some of the worst food I've ever been served. The wings were dry and overcooked, and they had a strange, almost rotten taste. The pizza was a complete disappointment; the thick-crust, deep-dish version was both overcooked and sloppily made. It appeared to have only about four actual pieces that were cut into six awkward sections. I ended up sending it back. The supposed "extra-large" traditional pizza was so thin that it had no crust and was burnt. The sauce was excessively sweet, as if it came straight from a can. The breadsticks were dry and overcooked as well. Finally, while the hoagie was the best part of the meal, the Italian dressing overpowered everything else, making it hard to taste anything but that. I sincerely hope Portofino’s can improve or reconsider their menu offerings, as they have lost the delightful essence that once made their pizza special. Thank you.

Don't bother. Not so much as a call or anything, had to find out through slice they were closing earlier than the hours posted here OR on Slice. Would have been nice to know that instead of just letting slice do their dirty work for them. I know how the app works they are more than able to switch to closed to make sure no orders go through.

Good little shop in Carnegie. Had a bad rap for awhile. Food is good and delivery time is fast. The delivery guy was nice! Definitely recommend giving them a try!
