Now that Southside 's Dish Osteria has closed, 131 Main in Carnegie(PA) is our #I area restaurant! The chef nails it every time! The menu is varied and each guest is unique. It's NOT made of ingredients you don't have any idea what it can be. The staff is so friendly and helpful. You know each court and give a detailed explanation. Great wine selection, great cocktails. Check the menu online for prices and selection. There is also a weekday in the bar. If you haven't been to Carnegie lately, you'll be vitalizing it. There are unique shops and restaurants. The dosed Kurbparkplatz and the larger lot next to 131 Main is free after 6 pm.
I can't believe it took us so long to try this place. Everything was on the spot. What is nice is that you actually leave full compared to other fine restaurants experiences where you get a small plate and meet a drive thru to fill you. The Day Boat Scallop dish was amazing, glad I ate the remains of my wife. This will be a regular stop from now on. Very recommended.
The watermelon Gazpacho soup is one of the best things I have ever eaten in my life! 131 East Main is a local treasure.
Coming from the hospitality industry, with my restaurant for 25 years own and run.... This resturant is by far one of the best I have eaten. If there are 6 stars. That's my number. My experience was far over 5 stars.
Great service! The pumpkin soup was phenomenal. It had an awesome kick of curry and black pepper so it wasn't sweet at all. Had the hanger steak that was cooked to perfection with crispy rosemary fries. Hubby had a pork chop that was at least two inches thick. They even subbed his noodles for the poutine at no extra charge. Wine selection was also great. We will definitely be back!
