This was an amazing experience. While being in the courtyard of the small hotel was not what we intended, but its 2020 and you do what you have to. Heaters made the experience perfect, it was actually quaint and perfect. Food was beyond amazing, service was top notch, wine was spectacular and in the end it was exactly what you should expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The protein dishes were all-around poor (overcooked, uninteresting, etc), the service was weird and stilted, and the only exceptional dish, wagyu, was another 20% extra. I don 't get the around the world theme, since as far as I can tell we just stayed in Japan the whole time. It felt more like a wannabe Michelin-starred restaurant than an actual one.
