This morning I walked into a time warp, an old style renovated home transformed into a beautiful cafe. Coffee 252 has some of the most upbeat and friendly staff of all time, this team of fantastic people really brightened up the morning with their bubbly and quirky approach whilst busting out music from 80's and 90's in the background- such a joy to listen to then todays rubbish. Such a relaxing place to just sit down, drink coffee, watch the world go by whilst enjoying a laugh and beautiful breeze. The coffee was amazing, very strong and smooth and kept me going all day, the other half ordered a coffee in a bowl. now, I've been blown away by the size of some bowls but I think this one took the prize, this thing was massive!!! I chose the mince on toast for the main with a side of haloumi, had to wait a bit for the mains but due to the absolutely amazing atmosphere from this place and the great music it was a great wait. The mince on toast was beautifully presented and the good thing is that the mince wasnt oozing with oil meaning the flavour of the mince really shone through without being dry, would of liked the dish to be a little bit bigger but nevertheless a amazing start to the morning and a massive tick from me and highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Brekky Date ???? What an incredible find this was! Coffee 252 located in Coorparoo. If you blink, you'll miss it and then you'll be sorry! Straight away, very chilled vibe. The staff are freaken awesome! Wicked sense of humour and so friendly. Price was great and portion size, just right. The menu is simple and cover the classic brekky/brunch options. I ordered off their specials board - Savoury French Toast with herbs from their garden served with their slowed cooked sauce on a bed of spinach and a side of haloumi. For my Pop, Big Breakfast (bacon, eggs, sausage, caramelised onion and more!) and Mince on toast with a side of haloumi for the other half. My french toast was lovely - thick slices of bread, soft in the centre and coated/cooked well. The slow cooked sauce was delicious - rustic, slightly acidic and full of flavour. Herbs and salad was so fresh. My haloumi wasn't cooked as well as I would have liked but it still tasted great! To drink - I ordered a bucket (gigantic coffee cub) of mocha. When my coffee came out, I realised it was a flat white not a mocha. I'm really fussy with coffee but considering the excellent first impressions and our hilarious interactions with the staff, I decided to drink it anyway. I had it on almond milk as the lactose free and soy milk was out and surprisingly, I quite enjoyed it. The coffee was strong (not bitter at all) but the almond milk added a lovely sweetness to it. Would I come back - absolutely! I'm already planning our return to this wonderful place! Well done Coffee 252!
