Six of us met with wives in the Queens Vaults for a get together, it started off very well with a great choice of Drinks, lovely choice on the Juke box by someone in the bar, Then for some reason a young member of staff came to the Juke box and put on around 25 minutes worth of Heavy metal, LOUD !! it drove the other 8 couples sharing a long table with us out of the pub. We stuck it out for another drink, and even considered ordering food, until the same member of staff pulled up a stool in front of the Juke box and selected another load of heavy metal, we didn't stay have our ears assaulted by Metal and thrash at 5,30pm on a Friday evening. The music certainly didn't suit the demographic of the pub, mostly older couples enjoying a few drinks. So there you have it,, good pub, great drinks plenty of room , but 14 money spending punters driven out by one member of staff. wont bother again.. plenty of other bars there.
