Kitschy is probably the best word to describe this family owned local restaurant. The portions are extremely generous, and they are famous for their gigantic slices of cake. The quality of food was very good and prices were reasonable. Serenity, ourwaitress, was very friendly and our entire large group had a great time. This was my second time here, and I'll definitely comeback anytime I'm in Sanibel.
What a place to eat and experience ???? The food was delicious and the service was fantastic! I have a dairy allergy and they were able to accommodate for me. It was one of the most enjoyable dinner out on our trip. At the beginning of your meal,there’s sweet rolls and garlic bread. There was so many unique items displayed in the restaurant, we wander around to look ateverything after our meal. You can’t forget the gift shop across the street. If you are too full for dessert after dinner,they do have a shop next door so you can take dessert with you. Enjoy it on the beach ????
Great food, lovely eclectic nostalgic atmosphere ???? a childhood friend who now lives in the southwest FL area said this place was a must for my sister I, bonus that our hubbies enjoyed too. Our Bubbles Camp Counselor (waitress) was pleasant and quickwitted in a good clever way. Eye candy everywhere including the beautifully designed menu.
Very fun place to go in and eat. You are surrounded by Christmas decorations, old actors photographs, antique toys and many vintage items. The food is incredible. I had the fresh salmon with fruit salsa, rice and beans. It was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly, nice and service was we provided. Great place to eat!!!
Such a uniquely different place with amazing food. We had the chips they make there with cheese and bacon, as an appetizer. We brought those home in hopes of heating up in the air fryer. My husband had a massive mushroom and Swiss burger. I had their crabcakes with lobster sauce, rice and a mango coleslaw. Our meals were amazing! They were probably the best crab cakes I’ve everhad, so good that I brought one home for dinner. Our server, Serenity was pleasant, knowledgeable friendly. After being seated,she greeted us in her scouts uniform with mini mouse ears. She’s adorable!! We were encouraged to explore and check out theBubble Room while our food was being prepared. They had so much memorabilia but we particularly enjoyed the tin toys. Pleaseenjoy the pictures. I encourage you to visit when in the area. You won’t regret it.

There is a god, and that god is bubble room orange crunch cake
I dined at this restaurant 3 years ago during my honeymoon and can’t believe I forgot to leave a review. Whenever I told people I planned to honeymoon in sanibel the first thing I always heard was “You have got to try the bubble room!” And I am so glad I did. My husband and I loved it. It was charmingly chaotic, so great for kids with all the eye candy on the walls, and the food and service were great. We enjoyed the bread, the flaming cheese, the filet…everything was so yummy and our waitress was very kind. I pray the owners are still doing well
This was one of the most unique restaurants on the island. So much history in one building.I would say it is my kids favorite restaurant on Captiva and Sanibel.
So disappointed in the red velvet cake tonight. Extremely dry. I love cake I’m not even finishing my 1/3 of a slice.
I rated this place 5 stars because I absolutely want to go back someday in the future, but OH do I have some words to say. I’ve been here twice, once in around 2017 and also in 2021. However, I still think about it on a near weekly basis, hence why I am giving this review. It was the most terrifying place I’ve ever been to and I’m not even afraid of clowns. I sat next to these dolls that would dance every few minutes and I would nearly cry from fear while my family made fun of me. I eventually left to find the bathroom, which I assumed would be less scary, only to be met by a giant freaking clown statue and I swear I saw his eyes move. And I’m still pretty those dancing dolls were also watching me the whole time. That day, I learned about fears that I didn’t even know I had. It is BEYOND me how I’ve never met another person who isn’t absolutely terrified of this place. I was on the verge of tears for two and a half hours. The desert was amazing, some of the best cake I’ve had in my life. Super moist and delicious. Would definitely recommend going. Kid-friendliness: My younger brothers loved it. I personally was in a petrified state of fear.

I don’t even know how to describe this experience!!! It’s like Christmas, early Hollywood, 1950s pop culture nostalgia and rainbows threw up all over and inside this restaurant. It was completely unexpected… The food was okay but definitely overpriced. The service by “bubble scouts” was decent. The dessert options were very tempting but we had to pass as we were very full so I can’t comment on that experience unfortunately. Although next time I’m in the area I would like to come back to try dessert as it is raved about. All in all, I would say that if you are in the area, you have to come here just to experience this spot. It’s a very unique dining establishment.
Super fun place! Touristy but in a good way. Had the avocado toast with blackened shrimp, and she crab soup and my husband had the shrimp and rice served in a pineapple. So delish. We were too full for dessert but took the orange crunch cake and the pineapple cake to go, they were both great but the orange one was over the top!
Very eccentric venue! Had been told about this place and it was worth the 2 and half hour drive just to see it! We did of course have lunch and cake (plus takeaway cake too! The main menu is varied, we shared the moons between 5 as an appetiser delicious and naughty! We all enjoyed our mains I had the shrimp pineapple rice combo and it was so good! The cakes are absolutely HUGE but all tasted amazing! Couldn 't leave without visiting the gift shop across the road to purchase a 'cake menu ' t shirt! Brilliant fun.
This place is so much fun! We had all ages with us and we all enjoyed it! The kids love the decor and that there are so many things to look at and the adults loved the alcohol and delicious food! And of course everyone loved the cakes!! The waitstaff was super accommodating and helpful with suggestions (the menu had too many great options to choose from!
This is a quirky place with lots of cool things to look at. The food however is even more impressive. Everything we had was great, the only problem is trying to figure out which slice of cake to order.
