Salt Spring Wild Cider - Capital

We had a great time at the restaurant, enjoying the vegan cheese plate and fried mushrooms. The food was delicious and the cider was exceptional! We sat at picnic tables where dogs and babies were welcome. There was even a deck on the grass for kids to play on. Overall, it was a lively afternoon.

The Salt Spring Wild Apple Wine restaurant offers a variety of apple wines and vegan appetizers on their menu, clearly marked for easy selection. However, during our visit in mid-spring before their peak season, some of the vegan options were unavailable. We were only served fried mushrooms, which were dry and bland. The agadashi tofu starter stood out as a delicious option. The menu was accommodating for gluten-free diets, with many options labeled as gluten-free. The servers were friendly and we even tried a flight of their wines. Our server was pleasant, although they were the only staff member working on a busy Saturday night, leading to slower service. Overall, more employees would have improved our experience.

This was one of the best meals I've ever had. We were late for our reservation and didn't realize they were closing in 35 minutes. Despite this, they had our food ready for us within 15 minutes. We tried the vegan charcuterie board, agadeshi tofu, deep fried king oyster mushrooms, and two different cider flights (modern and traditional). Everything was amazing, including the coleslaw. I highly recommend the vegan board and tofu. The prices were also very reasonable for the high quality of food. I have no complaints.

We had a vegan cheeseboard and vegan tempoura vanillas. it was super delicious! they have some vegan options, we were impressed. also tried her vegan dessert, which was a p Firsich cake this day, also very good! Moreover, their garden is beautiful (and dog-friendly) cannot wait to visit again!

Outdoor or indoor seating. Sat in the sun under umbrella with beautiful view and enjoyed a flight of local cider and snacks. Decided to return or dinner as there were several vegan options on the dinner menu. Great beverages and snacks.
