What User doesn't like about Shorty’s Hot Dogs:
In the years since the new ownership took over, this restaurant has gone downhill. We used to stop by frequently in the summer, but after our last visit, we will never return. The owner was rude to our party and rushed us through our meal, resulting in a completely messed up order. The restaurant was overcrowded, so there should have been no excuse for the mistakes. We tried reaching out through various methods, such... View all feedback.
Have been here many painting dating back to the previous owners. it is a cape may sign embedded on the always busy jackson street area. it is a fun place with interesting toppings and names for hot dogs, other salat options especially thunfisch and varied frozen so warnung .if they go there the best time, namely 12-2, be ready to wait .and wait....and wait. if the line around the corner, they are seriously looking at 30 -40 minutes. no exaggeration. the line does not move fast. are the hot dogs good? I don't think so. I would clearly suggest going early or after 3 or they will ask their sanity when they get their food
I know it sounds strange to go to “Hot Dog Tommy’s” when you don’t eat meat, but we saw the Vegan Dog on the menu and had to try it. Delicious! Closest to a real hot do we’ve ever had. One with cheddar, baked beans and onions, the other with kraut and mustard. There was no line when we went (a Saturday in June, at 12:30), but we did see a pretty long line the day before. The ordering process is pretty fast, so even with a line it probably wouldn’t take too long. Great, cheap eats at the beach!
If you're looking to spend half an hour or more outside in thesun waiting to pay cash for an average dog smothered in every imaginable topping upo to and almost including peanut bujtter.....and then to carry it away in a paper bag to eat elsewhere, ...this this is the place for you. However if you want a goo hot dog with mustard and relish go to COSTCO and have one for 1/3 the price.
Do not miss this experience. Tommy's was one of the highlights of our visit. The dogs were great but the service was better! Great hat!
A little hole in the hole, but amazing food. Always a line out front. Really good lunch option. They have other items for purchase too.
