Everything tasted fresh and homemade and prices were reasonable. Fast and friendly customer service. We ordered take-out and it was ready within 25 minutes (for 4 dishes). Would definitely recommend when in the area! View all feedback.
What Caroline N doesn't like about El Pueblo Taqueria 2:
Ordered the carnitas traditional burrito. Took relatively long for the order to be ready and it was pretty hard to eat as the pork was extremely salty. It wasn't typical carnitas as it wasn't shredded pork, more like chunks of pork chop. I had high expectations based on other reviews but was disappointed. View all feedback.
We ordered take out. The Guacamole is too salty, the tortilla chips stale, the fish in the fish tacos chewy and overcooked. Just disappointed all
We stopped in for dinner and they told us right away that it would likely be 30 mins till the food was ready as they were backed up. We figured that was a good sign and we were fine to wait, so placed our order. One of the items was the Pueblo Nachos and they asked if we wanted that in advance 20 mins later we had a basket of delectable nachos in front of us which we devoured... so so good! The rest of the food arrived shortly after and we ate until we were stuffed. Had to ask for some to go boxes to take the rest home. Everything was delicious and fresh all the sauces, and the placeros and the fish tacos were highlights and very good value (we'd over ordered, used to tourist pricing but this is not a touristy place! Highly recommend to anyone who loves Mexican food!

I wanted to love this place because I've read a good review or 2, but the main problem is calling: YOU CANT. We've tried 3 different times and they don't pick up their phone. We had to drive over to the restaurant to place our order which was very inefficient for our hungry family back at the house.Everyone said their fish burrito, pork tacos, and beef tacos were ok/pretty good but my cali beef burrito had either unripe avocado or frozen avocado (which tasted super off texture wise) and the beef was 50% tasty 50% too fatty to swallow. I had to spit out 50% of the meat which was quite gross to do in front of family friends. Nachos (which wasn't even on the online menu) but we ordered it in person was ok but super soggy and mushy once we got home. My family loves guac. and that wasn't on the online menu either. Also, not sure if they have a limited menu but the online menu seemed way off and almost too small to make sense.I went to Pueblo Taqueria #1 in North Cape May for take out and their menu was much bigger and the food was tastier overall. Not sure why but if you try to order from Pueblo #2 online it takes you to the #1 restaurant site without warning which is confusing and very easy to order from the wrong location.
We decided to try this eatery for the first time last night and we are certainly glad we did! Based on a previous review, we went with two orders of the Al Pastor Mexicanos Tacos (comes with 4 and a side order of Refried Beans. We called in our to-go order and it was quickly prepared as well as nice and hot. Everything was delicious!!! (The beans were rather soupy, but yummy all the same. We will definitely be coming back next trip to Cape May!
