It's great to see one of our favourite Italian restaurants back in business after a short but too long break. Our meals were exceptional and the girls (waitress') provided great advise on our selection. I've got to recommend the spaghetti marinara at level 7 chilli temp. Well done and it won't belong before we're back. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Roman Palace:
We have been going to the Roman Palace for a few years now and have found you know what you are going to get because the cooking is consistent. The menu is not extensive but it does cover most of the popular dishes. They have 7 starters, 6 pastas and one risotto and 7 mains including two of my favourites: roasted lamb shanks and almond crusted chicken. They do allow "Bring Your Own" wine for which they charge corkage... View all feedback.
Excellent service, lovely ambience, wonderful dinner date with the fiancé. Loved our Chilli Mussels entre, and ordered the specials spicy prawn penne so good!
Thank you to Jason and the lovely staff who treated my very large family to a most memorable and enjoyable Christmas Eve dinner. I started with the arancini which was piping hot and full of flavour. The crumb was crisp and it was a tasty start to the meal. Let’s talk about the fish. I ordered barramundi which was oven baked and served with potato, salad and a lemon sauce which was to die for. The fish was cooked to perfection, moist and seasoned perfectly. Fresh fish cooked respectfully. Finally I had the orange and Cointreau panda cotta served with a perfect quenelle of vanilla ice cream, orange segments and a raspberry sauce. Enjoyed to the very last mouthful. What a pleasant surprise to find a local Italian doing quality food at a reasonable price with friendly attentive service.
Extremely accommodating and wonderful, I highly recommend these fantastic individuals! Their generosity in opening up just for us was truly exceptional.
Out for a Thursday night meal with the girls before going to the movies. We found this place on the internet as it was close to Carousel Hoyts. It had good reviews so decided to try it out. The restaurant was very relaxed and the staff very friendly. The four of us loved this place. The food was delicious. We had the arancini (italian rice balls) and the garlic prawns for an entree to share, SOOOO GOOD. I had the chilli crab Pasta for my main and this is now my go to place for chilli crab. I tried my friends gnocchi and it was really good. We are definately going here again next time we go to the movies. Thanks Roman Palace
We decided to head out for dinner on a whim and ended up at the Roman Palace. We were warmly greeted by the staff and our table was nicely set with fabric napkins. Although the restaurant has been around for a long time, the decor is outdated and some reviewers have mentioned a musty smell, possibly coming from a water fountain. The food, however, was fantastic. We enjoyed Garlic Bread as a starter and ordered Surf and Turf and Fettuccine Salmone as main dishes. The steak was perfectly cooked and accompanied by a delicious garlic sauce, although we wished there were more prawns. The Fettuccine Salmone was well made with a light sauce and the portion size was just right. We would have liked to see a better salad and larger chips with the steak. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and will definitely return, but we hope the restaurant considers updating the decor.
