SandTraps - Canmore

Golf & Curling Club restaurant is open to the public. After a nice round my wife and I had a nice dinner. Flatbread and salad for her. Lasagna washed down by a brown ale for me. It isn't fancy and has a limited & casual menu. But if you're playing golf it's a decent, relaxed, uncrowded alternative. They have a golf package that gives each player C$12 off of food at the course. We used our credit to pay for half of our dinner.

Mit der Möglichkeit auf einer Terrasse draußen zu sitzen? Mit leckeren Gerichten?Dann sind Sie hier richtig. Genauso haben wir abseits der üblichen Touristenströme gespeist. Zukünftig werden wir uns häufiger ein Restaurant im Clubhaus einer Golfanlage suchen. Sie liegen, wie dieses Restaurant, immer in einer gepflegten Anlage, aber eben außerhalb der Touristenströme. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und es hat gut geschmeckt.

Great chicken rice bowl! Patio is amazing in the summer and its never too busy there for lunch! The staff are awesome and they just did renos!

SandTraps is part of the Canmore Golf and Curling Club. It's open year round catering to summer golfers as well as the public. The deck has the best quiet view in town. In winter it's open to service curlers and the public. Full disclosure: We are members of the curling club and eat there 1-2x month. They have nightly specials and have weekly beer specials. Our favourite is Tues. Steak Sandwich night!This is one good step up from pub fare with complete dinners available as well as appetizers fries, etc. They have a great selection of beer wine and single malts.They do a great job of catering and wedding receptions. Great serving and cook staff.

Came here for breakfast, just in time because it is served till 10. It felt a bit strange to walk into a golf club though and the place was practically empty. Unfortunately it was too cold to sit outside on the patio, nevertheless a nice view. We had cinnamonbun french toast served with strawberries (we asked to have it without the whipped cream). I've never seen it on a menu before, but it was delicious! The price was also fair.
