It's the service that truly gets 5 stars but the food was good too! Our server was hilarious, fun and never left our drinks empty. The vibes are good and it was actually a pretty fun spot on a Monday evening. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Stopped by the Drake and had a great experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with a solid mix of restaurant and brewery vibes. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was quick without feeling rushed. The food was well done with good portion sizes, and the beer selection was a highlight—fresh, flavorful, and with enough variety to try something new. It’s a great spot to grab a meal, try some local brews, and hang out with friends. Overall, a really enjoyable place. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

There are just better offerings in other places in Canmore at this price point or cheaper. We chose the restaurant specifically for the local beer offerings and a crazy well priced steak frites, a 10oz steak for 30 dollars. We made a reservation and were pretty excited. Upon arriving we were told they sold out of every draft beer and sold out of a bottle as well. (yes, seriously they did not even have a lager available). The steak frites were also 40$, not 30$ as is advertised in their online menu. Honestly still a fine price, but an unwelcome surprise. The chairs were uncomfortable and the table was wobbly. There was no music playing. No decor to be spoken of on the walls, just weird emptiness. The last straw was the paloma, which I ordered since all of the beer was gone. It was VERY watery and tasted like salt water. I know some grapefruit must have made it in there but i couldn't taste it. Theoretically there was supposed to be 2oz of alcohol in the drink; neither my partner nor I could taste it. Service was OK. Our waitress was obviously overwhelmed and too busy to really pay attention. We took one sip and decided to cut our losses, pay and flee before they were able to take any more of our money. Just around the corner there are a number of pubs, restaurants, and bars with fantastic FnB options and the character you might expect from a local Canmore bar. Heck, the Rose and Crown is right across the street. Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

The service was very poor. Our orders were messed up and we had to ask for simple things like water and salt and pepper multiple times. Our ribs were over cooked and the ceasar salad was soggy with burnt bacon and croutons. The steaks were bland with no seasoning. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Honestly we walked in and they looked at us like we were insane when we told them we had a reservation. The pub was in disarray and was not as described. Not for us, menu looked fine but not our scene. Minimal effort to find us space so we ended up leaving and finding another space for our evening.
