Infuriating that it takes LONGER to self-checkout yourself than it is to wait in line because of this stupid system. Get a better system, and give me a discount to help myself while you’re at it.

It can get hectic d... read more Safeway Canmore is one of the better-stocked grocery options in town, with a solid deli, fresh produce, and convenient on-site liquor store. It can get hectic during peak hours, but the layout is efficient and shelves are usually well stocked. Prices reflect the tourist location, but it’s reliable for locals and travelers alike. Parking is spacious.

Pape... read more As a tourist this grocery is new to me. But a few things to know going in..1. You really really do need to bring your own bags or you are charged for bags. Paper is the cheapest if you forget yours.2. Not many checkers to check you out and the two different times we have been there, there have been long lines. Even in the self check. And the self check is a bit tricky the first time. You have to scan each item and SIT IT DOWN AND DO NOT MOVE IT TILL YOU FINISH PAYING!! Or it will mess up!3. Not a great selection of snacks and or crackers.
