O... read more We arrived around 1:00 PM for a lunch, and the place was quite busy with a self-seating policy. Many of the tables needed to be cleared, but that was alright. Our waitress came over, took our drink orders, and handed us menus. After our drinks arrived, we placed our food orders. We expected a quick turnaround since we ordered a simple burger and the day's special, but the wait was longer than anticipated. When our meals finally arrived, they were only warm, and the fries were cold. The coffee was quite watered down as well. The atmosphere had a classic diner vibe, and it seemed like the locals received a lot of attention from the staff. Also, be sure to bring cash, as they don’t accept credit cards.

My partner ordered a hamburger, which was also incredibly tasty. I really wish I lived nearby! It was simply perfect food.

The omelette was delicious and not greasy, and the gravy was flavorful. The fries were the best I've had in a long time, I'd... read more I went here after visiting the zoo. I got the Corned beef Reuben and fries. I thought that both were great! The fries were the best I've had in a long time, I'd put them up there with KFC fries. The sandwich was great as well. One thing about this place you should know is they only take cash and they have an ATM inside. Another is that they have different dishes on different days of the week. Overall I highly recommend Blake's! Food: 5
