Zambrero Civic - Canberra

Coming to Zambrero's and experiencing the true flavours is a much cheaper than heading to USA or Mexico . My experience of Mexican food in Los Angeles was very disappointing. I am very happy to have found this flavoursome Mexican food so much closer to...home, with out the hours flying time to get there. Great food great service and value for money.

We make a point of going out of our way to come here to get quesadillas which when made by the male worker are perfect and absolutely delicious. the female worker made our chicken cheese and tomato quesadilla without chicken after i had asked if...the chicken had peanuts and she said no as i am highly allergic. she then proceeded to plop a scoop of the chicken on the side of the quesadilla which turned out to have peanuts in it. Being anaphylactic if i ate this i could have died.. NOT good enough.

The restaurant had limited seating. It looked to be overdue for re-painting. The burrito was too large to handle easily, and not especially tasty. It might have been better presented as separate ingredients on a large plate.

I've been here twice, the first time was very disappointing (I was starving and the person in front of me got a way more generous serving then I did The second time was a bit better. I only get a burrito bowl and because I...couldn't have the rice or beans I felt like they went a bit stingy on everything else haha. But other than that it's yum, quick and easy.

Went to Zambrero for lunch today. Asked for a bowl with no rice or beans. I asked for avocado and cheese was told that would be an extra When I said but I didn't want rice or beans the answer was bad luck. Won't...be going back if that is how you are treated.
