We started with Caesar salads, which came from the casino bar. Unfortunately, it was probably one of the worst Caesars I've ever had; it tasted watered down and lacked any real spice or flavor. I recommend skipping the bar drinks unless you're opting for a beer. For my main dish, I ordered the Cajun salmon with wild rice and Brussels sprouts, while my husband opted for the chicken Cordon Bleu with fries. It took a while for our food to arrive, which was surprising since there were only two couples in the entire restaurant. We were first served complimentary warm pretzels, which were delicious and came with a tasty mustard dip—a nice change from the typical bread basket you find at restaurants. Overall, the quality of the food was impressive. My husband thought the tomato sauce on his chicken had a strange taste (I agree), but the portion was generous and the chicken was cooked well. Perhaps it could have been flattened a bit more, and there was a little too little filling, but it was still good. My salmon was excellent—perfectly cooked with a delightful Cajun seasoning. The wild rice was decent, but the Brussels sprouts were outstanding. If I return, I'll definitely order a double portion of those. They were tender, sautéed in butter, and mixed with walnuts and raisins—absolutely lovely. Luckily for me, my husband’s dish came with them too, so I enjoyed his portion as well. While I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, the food was genuinely good.
The Sterling Beef with fries was delicious and served piping hot, accompanied by a small pickle. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.
The food here was really good; I had the Den Dip (beef dip) with sweet potato fries and my partner had the Chicken Caesar Wrap with regular fries. We also both took advantage of the free Wednesday wings for hotel guests: you can have as many free wings as you like with your choice of sauce AND free beer! Can 't say no to that! The service needs some work. The hostess walked right past us when we arrived, and we were trying to figure out if we could seat ourselves or if we had to wait to be seated (there was no sign). I made eye contact with her and asked if we could seat ourselves (we had at breakfast) and she said Hahaha noooooooo... I was just busy for a moment, you can follow me. The other waitresses didn 't seem attached to the idea of serving us, and passed us right back to the hostess when it was time for us to pay our bill.
The food was fantastic, and the service was exceptional. I truly enjoyed every dish, and everything was wonderful. Overall, a great experience!
I hadn't been to this restaurant in years and decided to give it a try during my stay for work. Unfortunately, after a long day and with daylight saving time, I was really tired and just wanted some food. The servers seemed too busy to attend to a single person dining alone. There was no sign indicating where to wait to be seated, and I struggled to get anyone's attention. At this point, I think I'll just opt for local takeout. I would have loved to try the food, but waiting ten minutes just to be acknowledged is too long.
