LVLup combines vibrant atmosphere and gaming excitement, offering an impressive selection of arcade games, board games, and a relaxed setting perfect for gatherings. Guests rave about the delicious mac and cheese and seasonal dishes that elevate bar fare. While cocktails have playful names, their execution leaves room for improvement. The dual-level venue features retro and modern games, creating a nostalgic yet fresh experience. Despite minor maintenance issues with some machines, the welcoming staff and clean environment ensure a good time. With a mix of games and family-friendly vibes, it’s a must-visit for any gaming enthusiast.

A barcade with tons of game options and good eating! Overall I would say that the vibe is more centered to drink gaming vs. in contrast to other barcaden as emporium in sf. the mac and the cheese are delicious. the original mac and cheese could fundamentally sound compared to the remaining fully loaded options, but it is definitely worth an order. there are 2 levels, the lower level has arcade games (pinball, mario kart, racing games, big buck jäger, killer queen etc. and a sitting area, and the 2nd level has a area for renting a console or pc and playing with friends. the arcade games take quarters and there is a machine to convert their bills to quarters. they can also find board games that they can play for free. on the 2nd level (the retro fix) there is also a small collector shop with many cool action figures and trinkets, but they have different operating hours than the barcade. is a part that the cocktails are underwhelming. they have fun names like over 9000' or prinzesin pfirsich punsch,' but the drinks themselves are quite mediocre, much more on the sugar side. a great place to travel if they are in the south bay!

I've been here for a few years. it is always a great time at lvlup. every drink is quite great and scrimshaw on tap! many retro games and newer games up at afk. clean atmosphere and good people. the menu is not big, but it is quality. I accidentally left my backpack on a chair inside when I went and she kindly got it to a safe place for me when I called about it. a stunning place!

A barcade with tons of game options and good food! Overall I'd say the vibe is more centered around gaming vs. drinking, unlike other barcades like Emporium in SF. The mac and cheese is delicious. The original mac and cheese might sound basic compared to the rest of the fully loaded options but it is definitely worth ordering. There are 2 levels the bottom level has arcade games (pinball, mario kart, racing games, big buck hunter, killer queen etc and a seating area, and the 2nd level has an area for renting a console or PC and playing with friends. The arcade games take quarters and there's a machine to convert your bills to quarters. You can also find board games you can play for free. There's also a small collectibles store on the 2nd level (called The Retro Fix) with lots of cool action figures and trinkets but they have different operating hours than the barcade. One downside is that the cocktails are underwhelming. They have fun names like over 9000 or princess peach punch but the drinks themselves are pretty mediocre, much more on the sugary side.Overall a great spot definitely worth the trip if you're in the south bay!

Pros: The venue has a wide variety of arcade games and pinball machines, along with plenty of tables for seating. There’s also a bar that adds to the friendly atmosphere. The machines operate on quarters (with pinball games costing 4 quarters each), which are available for purchase on-site. An ATM is conveniently located inside, but be aware that it charges a $3.50 fee. This place is suitable for adults of all ages, from college students to retirees—at least that was the case during my last visit. Cons: It tends to be quite crowded, and during my last visit, there was a pinball tournament that kept most of the machines in use the entire time.

I absolutely love the retro ambiance! It takes me back to my teenage years as a pinball wizard. However, some of the games are in need of maintenance, with loose pulleys, bumpers, and other issues. Overall, I had an enjoyable experience!
