I am continually impressed and surprised by the current menu at Jim Stump's restaurant. Despite avoiding typical red snapper dishes at other restaurants for years, I was blown away by his interpretation of this dish! The skilled chefs he has selected to execute his recipes are top-notch and worthy of praise. Thank you, Forthright! PS Our cocktails were expertly crafted, solidifying that Forthright doesn't just have bartenders, but high-level mixologists.
The waiter was more focused on chatting with two women at the bar. Our cocktails arrived after we had already finished the oysters. The server also forgot about our bottle of wine. Despite enjoying the food, I would consider leaving if I were served by that waiter again.
We always choose this restaurant for oysters. The staff is fantastic, and the food is outstanding.
Late review because I dined in on Fathers day, but I’d have to say the food we ordered was pretty good! Very important: best fresh oysters I’ve ever gotten beside Marshall Store in Point Reyes. Obviously its an Oyster Bar and the oysters is a musthave so please please order it. The service was good even though some of our drinks and the oysters came a little later thanusual. It was no biggie as it was fathers day so of course its busy. We had patio dining because of our dogs so I’m happythat its dog friendly :
We missed the happy hour but their regular dinner menu is full of wonderful choices nonetheless. The clam chowder is a must try and the acme bread on its own goes really well with the soup, there is no need for the sweet cream/salt/olive oil dip that comewith it. The burger and squid ink pasta were super delicious. I can't wait to come back and try their famous raw oysterselections next time.
