Everything was super good! Worth a visit. One of the best places to eat on the island. The owner and staff were also really kind.
Stayed in Kurma last November 2023 for 2 weeks, and it was a blast! LOCATION is already by the beach, which is clean and shallow. Great for morning and sunset walks, swimming, or simply chilling and enjoying the view. There's a Gypsy Rover in front of the dive centre, about 15 meters deep, where you can do underwater photoshoots. ROOM is cosy and neat. WiFi is also available for you to use (keep in mind that you are on an island, so power interruptions are inevitable . FOOD is divine! They do have vegetarian and non-vegetarian options with generous portion sizes. I frequently order the Kabayan, Kurma rice bowl with sausage, vegetable karekare, and banana-rolled pancake. I could never get tired of them! Don't forget to try their camote chips and banana muffins for snacks, mango pineapple shakes, and iced tea with watermelon for a very refreshing drink during the warm afternoon. I also craved a cold sikwate, and Lucy (the staff was kind enough to prepare me one (now it should be on the menu, haha . If you're not a coffee drinker like me, enjoy the hot sikwate in the morning : STAFF are very friendly and funny. Rose, Lucy, and Lhen have always been accommodating. During my stay, I was fortunate to be able to join the Freedive Camp. There were confined and open-water dives, plus activities to explore some of Camiguin's tourist destinations. Even gained friends
Wonderful freedive center! I can only recommend Kurma to anyone who would like to learn to freedive. Great atmosphere, super nice and competent staff and instructors! The rooms are very comfortable and the food is simply wonderful. A top overall package in a beautiful location. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
What I remember most is Robert’s singing skills. All guitar songs were professional. The air conditioner in the room was weak so it took a long time to cool down. The facilities are old, but well maintained and the staff are very friendly. The food was a little disappointing for my taste. It's great for swimming and snorkeling right in front. There's not much underwater life, but there's no current and there's a shipwreck, so freediving is worth a try.
