Very popular Italian restaurant, always overbooked it seems. I only was able to eat here because I made a reservation in advance; twice I was turned away when I stopped to inquire about dinner. The saltimboca alla Romana I ordered was delicious, accompanied by properly cooked vegetables and sliced potatoes. Then I indulged in superb panna cotta for dessert. What Penfoxxx doesn't like about Ciao Bella:
Recently went with work colleagues for a late lunch. The staff were unhelpful and actually rude to one of my group when he asked if it was possible for a dish that was not on the menu. We spent a considerably amount of money but were brusquely asked to leave once we had finished. I live locally and had not been for a while as previous visits had not been memorable again because of the service not the food. I will not... View all feedback.
My daughter and I wondered in here on her third birthday after a trip to the postal museum, pretty much bang on midday with no reservation. I’m always a little nervous going to a ‘nice’ restaurant with my kid as they can often make us feel unwelcome, but Ciao Bella was the total opposite. We were offered a great table and the staff were incredible warm and made a fuss of my daughter. Service was quick and attentive. We ate the spaghetti bolognaise (they do half portions of the pasta dishes, perfect size for kids) and the lobster spaghetti along with salad. The food was absolutely superb, proper traditional Italian. The staff must have overheard me talking to my daughter about her birthday as they put a candle in her ice cream and sang her happy birthday, I was so touched. I can’t recommend this place more.

Lovely little Italian spot. We had the bruschetta starter, as well as carbonara and spinach pizza for main. The food was very delicious and very friendly staff too! Thank you!
Really good food and big portions. Staff here were uber friendly and were happy to talk us through the menu and what the specials of the day were. One note is that booking a table is essential as was evident from the steadily growing queue outside. Worth revisiting!
A great little spot. Food and service was excellent and a really nice atmosphere. Would certainly return and it is amazing value for great food.
