Very nice straightforward afternoon tea priced at just under £40 for 2. Good, simple, well made, fresh sandwiches and scones. Excellent pots of tea, with refills. Friendly/helpful staff, pleasant lounge area. (Let 's be fair the standard of afternoon tea isn 't the same as the big 5 star London hotels, but they will charge close to £160 for 2; this is a quarter of the price and great value). What Grantig doesn't like about 92:
Stayed in the Hotel on business first mistake see review and decided to have something quick in the Restaurant for dinner Ordered Fillet Steak was asked how I want it Medium rare, more to the rare please! was told I can not have that but can have it medium rare. ? anyway steak arrived well done nice and grey throughout sides not worth mentioning, sauce overly salty and burnt? what a disappointment.... Very clean. very courteous staff (competition and bar delicate) great drinks. but today after visiting twice, once for drinks and the second time for eating and drinking, I was told by the waiter that the manager would not replace the tweeper rings that with my rindburger w/ french fries, although both articles on the menu for the same price. that will be my last time.
The afternoon was delicious and maria served us was wonderful!
