How to be both delighted and frustrated at the same time. Delighted the restaurant, food and staff were all wonderful, and it 's right by the Med to boot (or flip flop). Frustrated in 20 years of visiting Cambrils I 've walked past Beattriz maybe 200 times and never gone in before what an idiot!!! The food we had a carpaccio of beef to share (melt in mouth time) and a classic paella (the seafood was superb); quality and quantity in abundance; I took some of the rice home and had it the following night. The wines are just superb the owner really knows his wines so, if in doubt, just ask him and he speaks excellent English if you need it. Gin she actually asks you when you want her to stop pouring... In response to two recent reviews: firstly, this IS Spain, eating in a resto at 7pm is unheard of. There are loads of Brits abroad places in the area catering for those who want to eat at teatime. And, as to pricy really? €15.50 for a portion of paella packed with seafood... Try living in Dartmouth! In short as Arnie said: I 'll be back .
Tried to eat last night but was told the kitchen didn't open until 7pm. At 7.05 was informed the kitchen opened at 7.30 so I left. I wanted to try the restaurant so returned tonight. Had a delicious monk fish with romano. Excellent food but not a lot of it on the plate especially for the price. This could be a fantastic place but seems disorganised. I'm surprised it attracts repeat visitors which is a pity. Great location.
Family of 4 greeted by friendly staff and enjoyed a wonderful lobster paella. Fries were top class too and drove the kids to order an extra portion. A busy local atmosphere very enjoyable lunch.
We both ordered Iberian Pork and we weren't disappointed. Two very generous strips of pork, simply cooked and served with chips and salad. Lovely location looking towards the beach and without the street sellers blocking the pavement.
We were not sure if we wanted to eat at the restaurant having seen in during the day. A plastic blue roof was rolled over the top and it looked very claustrophobic however, during the evening things were different. The horrendous plastic was rolled aside giving room to the starry evening sky. When we arrived we were ignored then spoken rudely to by one of the waitresses. I think that she was frustrated that my partner couldn't speak Spanish as he was trying desperately to ask for a table for 4. Another waitress was finally directed to us. She was lovely and very patient. I ordered salmon and my partner, the tuna. Both were absolutely fantastic but they came with no sides. I ordered double fries because they were so thin. My son ordered the pork side. It wasn't very nice and again, extra sides had to be added. We were told that this restaurant was value for money but we ended up spending more here than on other restaurants in the area.
