Dees Bakery - Cambridge

I used to go to Dee's original location all the time and loved their tarts. They were big and the tarts dripped down your chin with goodness. Went to the new location in Cambridge and sadly these are not the same tarts at all. They weren't good. They were much smaller. The pastry had a rancid taste and the centres weren't soft at all. The centre didn't even taste very good. The small tart was mostly pastry. Very disappointed. I used to tell everyone how good Dee's tarts were. Not anymore. Something has changed

Dee's has set the bench mark for butter tarts. By far they are number 1 for butter tarts They offer I believe 16 different tarts, I only have only tried 3 different ones. They will ship across Canada for you if needed.

Run here fast and buy at least 1 dozen buttertarts of every flavour available. Any less than 1 dozen and you'll be kicking yourself later saying "why!??" Trust me, these are worth the calories. Oh and the 1 dozen is only for yourself. If you'll have visitors be smart and get more because they will eat them all.

Not sure how there are perfect reviews on here!!! I have been a few times and was not impressed! I gave the Tarts a second chance thinking maybe it was just an off day but the dough was undercooked and honestly I have had better for the money I paid! Also both times I have gone there was a dog in the bakery and to me that is just not sanitary! I will not go back and will not recommend this bakery to anyone!

I consider myself a butter tart connoisseur and these tarts are by far the best I have every tasted!
