we were greeted with a very warm greeting when we went through the door, of the friendly and knowledgeable barman. What Wjgerry doesn't like about Champion Of The Thames:
Popped in with a couple of friends on Saturday evening. We were stood at the bar having a drink. The barman then kept asking us to move. We were fine with this until I realised he was just doing it so a group of his friends could sit at the bar. So we basically being pushed about to keep his friends happy. There are plenty of great pubs in Cambridge so why bother take the risk with this one View all feedback.
I and my friend found this absolute jewel when visiting Nottingham. Probably the nicest Barmann go (Adrian) really good mood, only for one on our walk immersed and stayed for 3! If we ever work like this again, this will be our place! Very recommended
We have urge and some great beers on tap. Wine selection also good. Great atmosphere. Laurence and the team are friendly. Nice pub.
Very cozy little pub, friendly and full of old English character. One or two flourishes from Cambridge Regalia, but that felt like a local pub.
Came for a quick pint on a Saturday afternoon while visiting Cambridge for the weekend. Was full of locals for the rugby and felt like our locals at home. A real pub! All friendly, and a great atmosphere. I could have stayed for hours!!
Very cute and cosy pub with great staff. Pub quiz super busy make sure you get there well before 7 for it’s kick off at 8 if you want a table!
