What Foodterror doesn't like about Ony's Wine:
This bar/restaurant (wine bar? Don’t get it, good wine but no bar or cosy drinking area) We went on Saturday night. It was very quiet. It is very big. It was too light. It has potential. Owners/waiter extremely welcoming and friendly but the concept needs revising:idea of small plates good. Need to be much better. Either too confused or not cooked to perfection. We talked to owners about this. Not a bar. Its a restau... View all feedback.
Spending a Friday evening at this restaurant was a delightful experience. We enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine and some delicious dishes. The staff gave us a warm welcome and provided excellent service. We were very impressed with our overall experience.
I recently dined at a fantastic restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, an extensive wine selection with unique choices, and mouthwatering food. The dishes were served in small portions, similar to tapas, and prepared by the chef Ony, after whom the restaurant is named. Despite living in Egypt, I found the koshary and shawarma to be authentic and delicious. I visited with a small group and we sampled a variety of items on the menu, all of which were excellent. The service was exceptional, the ambiance was cozy and inviting, the wine selection was impressive, and the food was incredible. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will definitely return when I visit Cambridge next. This restaurant has quickly become my new favorite dining spot.
Completely over rated. The food was very basic and totally over priced. £6-10 for a small plate that I could have prepared at home in 5 minutes. Cauliflower and butternut squash fattoush was bland. Lentil dish was very odd, pasta combination did not work at all. Chicken shawarma ok but not worth £9 given you could have a whole main for that elsewhere. Only positive was the wine which was good.
Perfect place for a relaxed drink after work or a romantic dinner, with an excellent wine selection and delicious small plates. Fresh food lovingly cooked from carefully selected ingredients. Lovely mediterranean decor and atmosphere too. Highly recommended!
Experience wines from different countries paired with delectable tapas-style dishes with a unique Egyptian twist! This is the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy quality time with loved ones, savoring great wine and tasty food at an affordable cost.
