Went here mid-week and it was busy with a decent cross-section of clientele, including groups of elderly and young Chinese. I can see why! The food is really very good and they offer a huge range of dishes. Not sure where the picture of the menu came from on here, but they offer _much_ more than that in house. Definitely going again. What dmart7 doesn't like about Colala Chinese:
The takeout we ordered from this restaurant was mediocre. While I understand that many other places may have similar quality, I would prefer to pay more for higher quality food. The spring rolls were mostly batter with very little filling. One surprising quirk was that the main ingredient in the Chicken and Cashew Nut dish seemed to be celery. We will be searching for a different restaurant next time. View all feedback.
Nice food, very authentic! I recommend the shrimps with rice cake; Fish in Chile. My friends and I all enjoyed the food absolutely, the owner is very nice and charming, would definitely go back!
Super delicious and authentic Chinese food! This was the first time we had eaten there because of Google reviews. We ordered some tofu dishes and they were both excellent in different styles. The dishes were in large part. We enjoyed it very much. The place is clean and the seats are comfortable. The staff is attentive. Very recommended.
Best Chinese departure in Camb! Always good quality and food is freshly hot.
The takeaway part was big, which was great when we were very hungry.
We have just had a chicken rice bowl as a takeaway. This was the best curry I've had in a long time. Plenty of chicken and vegetables. As we are only visiting Cambridge I'm sad we didn't find this before. Great food and good prices. Very lovely people too.
