Description
Nestled in the bustling center of Cambria, Indigo Moon serves as a delightful dining haven, featuring a relaxed atmosphere and a varied menu bursting with flavor. Diners have praised the exquisite food, with highlights including tender steaks, fresh seafood, and rich sides that make every bite memorable. However, inconsistent service has been a recurring concern, with reports of long wait times and understaffing detracting from the overall experience. Despite some challenges, many patrons find the service staff's warmth and attentiveness redeeming, often returning for the delectable cuisine and inviting environment. A dining gem with room for improvement.

Had dinner here two nights in a row, once for take out and once for dine in. I was pleasantly pleased with the warm and accommodating service on both occasions. My server at dinner tonight went above and beyond to make sure my dinner was a lovely experience. I enjoyed her wine suggestions and tastings, as well as her overall neighborly air. I wanted to eat light dining in so I just had a couple of apps and salad. Take out the night before I ordered crab cakes and scallops. Overall I really enjoyed the scallops and the clams. I’ll be back to try more items on the menu!
Food was fantastic service was painful. Grossly understaffed with frustrated customers all around. Twenty minutes before our server had a moment to stop by and start the drink order. An hour from the time we sat down till we received our meals. Zero manager or owner presence on the floor. Our server was an absolute delight but it’s unfair for her to be juggling 8-9 full service tables. By not staffing properly there was no opportunity to order more drinks or dessert. By the time we were done with our meals we just wanted to leave.
At the indigo in Cambria the Mac and cheese was good the crab cake didn’t need the vegetables they put in it. They forgot my soup then waiters said she will let me take the soup to go no charge. My fish was good the new your steak was great and big Parking: Parking was fine
We’ve been dining here for almost ten years, pre Covid it was a must go to any time we visit Cambria. Post Covid is a whole different story. Had 7:30 reservations, only had to wait about 10 mins. Then the problems started, was given water immediately, waited about 20 mins for our server to finally come over, ordered a bottle of wine and two sodas for our kids as well as placing our food order at the same time. Got our drinks in about ten minutes. We ordered a goat cheese salad with chicken, fettuccine with chicken, the burger, and the flat iron steak medium rare with chimichurri sauce. Nearly 45 mins later our food finally arrived the chicken on the salad was incredibly overcooked and dry, the wine sauce on my daughter’s fettuccine didn’t have the alcohol burned off and was so strong it was burning her throat, steak was cooked properly but the chimichurri sauce was more of a paste( probably made in a food processor or buffalo chopper instead of hand chopping the herbs) the fingerling potatoes were cold and the broccoli was horribly overcooked and had enough garlic to to kill a horse, my sons cheeseburger still had the paper that separates the cheese slices from one another on it. I usually don’t give reviews on bad restaurant experiences because after being in that business for over 20 years I understand that places have off nights once in awhile, but this is the 3rd time we’ve gone to Indigo Moon since COVID allowed restaurants to open back up and each time it has been horrible, I’m not sure what happened but we’ve definitely gone for the last time, think twice before making reservations, there plenty of other better dining options in Cambria.
