Seminary Hill - Callicoon
Seminary Hill
Description
Perched on a scenic upstate property, Seminary Hill is celebrated for sweeping views, a lively patio, standout ciders and memorable dishes like fried chicken, pulled pork, mushroom porridge and apple crisp. It’s a popular event and brunch destination with a warm, rustic atmosphere. However, experiences vary: service can be slow, menus are sometimes limited or sell out, and food consistency has fluctuated—several guests reported overcooked or underwhelming plates and isolated food-safety concerns. Great for gatherings and cider lovers, but expect occasional variability.

The view is stunning The rest totally unprofessional! Terrible service, overly salty food (took forever to arrive , one portion of sticky toffee pudding came without any cream(both portions of pudding were overly dry but without cream inedible!!! the room is also lovely have a drink there not dinner ! Service: 1 Location: 5
Do yourself a favor and order their Susan 2021 or 2022 as well as their Dragon’s Hen cider. I’ve traveled all over the country for cider, and Seminary makes some of my favorite selections! Their food menu beautifully pairs with all of their ciders as well. Their cider maker Joshua hosts tours, and is an encyclopedia of this industry. I highly recommend visiting when they’re hosting tours! Their AirBnb is one of my favorite stays in New York and is extremely family friendly. Their staff is so well trained and works so well together, they seem to have a good sense of community and teamwork. Rooms: Most comfortable beds I’ve ever laid on. They get their mattresses and sheets from Lithuania. I’ve never experienced a bed that comfortable and have not been able to find any others like them here in the US.
This place is amazing!! I would totally recommend this place, there is a hotel, restaurant and an area for weddings! This place is so clean, for appetizers i recommend getting the chicken skin and the sourdough bread with chicken fat, for a main meal i would get anything from the menu. Food and drinks: Food and drinks were amazing. My parents got a flight off all different ciders Rooms: 5
The food is to die for, management is great, the staff is a great, friendly team. They offer tours of their distillery, weddings and events with their beautiful location. It is the place to be. Prices are up there but for good reason. Walkability: Very spacious as well as wheelchair accessible. Food and drinks: Amazing! The cuts they use on their meats are just mmm and their greens, vegetables, fruits and spices are just a perfect the drinks are made professionally and they also offer kid friendly drinks.
