We had amazing service and great food. Shayla was amazing!

Trip Advisor didn't disappoint... read more I walked 15km around Calgary downtown & the riverside & was looking for lunch & a cold drink close to my hotel at The Sandman.... Trip Advisor didn't disappoint & the Upper Deck Public House was a 3min walk around the corner..... Friday specials & cheap drinks on the patio, shared a steak sandwich & the ranch & lemon pepper chicken wings all were fantastic! My friend & I had 3 drinks each & the food for a total of $56. Great day, great view, friendly staff.

The beer menu for d... read more We stopped by for supper and were pleasantly surprised to find ribs on their special that night (also steak and shrimps). We chose the ribs. The beer menu for draught is reasonable (about 10 items) though the wines are sparse (3 white and 3 red); but all at a good price. This is a sports pub - it has 10 screens with several different events going at any time. The furnishing is well kept with lots of wood finishing and the ambiance has a welcoming and open feel. The ribs could have spent another hour in low (slow) heat but were quite edible. The sauce used on them was nice and sweet. The ribs came with a baked potato and some broccoli in some sort of cheese sauce and toasted bread.The service was quite prompt and friendly.

The staff provided excellent service and the overall atmosphere of the sports bar was very good. It's definitely one of the best in the city.
