Pistachio Paris-Brest and many other delicious treats can be found at a restaurant in Shanghai called Ma Tatin. It used to be my go-to spot for desserts and baked goods, but now that I'm back in Calgary, I was on the lookout for a similar place. I am thrilled that I came across this place on Instagram. Used to be our “go to” patisserie in Calgary, for the exceptional European quality and great ingredients. Even though it doesn’t taste the same, pastry isn’t flaky and crunchy (from freshness and technique anymore and it’s quite dry. Prices, portions and quality has changed. Bakery atmosphere is a good quality vibe when entering. croissants were the highlight of my visit! fresh and filled with filling on the inside. the cheese bag I would recommend only if it is fresh and warm.

ONLY the best croissants ever!! worth every penny. My favourite place to indulge in quality pastries with unique flavours. They definitely create magic. Highly recommend. It is worth parking pain and traffic of 17 ave. I recommend calling in advance to check on inventory as they run out of things quite often as everything is baked fresh.
Fine pastry lovers, this is your place! Best almond crossaint I've ever had. It was both moist and flaky with refined pastry layers, with a balanced flavor of almond, butter and just the right amount of sweet. Top notch service and friendly staff :
This is by far the best place for pastries and coffee in the city. The jam filled croissants and the Viennese coffee are epic.The staff is amazing.Talk to Benjamin about the French teas. They carry the very best brands and he knows his stuff. All his recommendations are great.Highly recommend this place but prepared to be back often to try everything they make!!!
