We picked up a dozen frozen small pies so we could bake them and take them over to our son'd house for dinner, along with some salads. This is a real treat for the Grandkids as they get to select the flavour of their own choice. All the pies here are very tasty. We had a wonderful dinner together.
The pies are gross. The filling comes from a bucket and the dough is made out of shortening. I can guarantee anyone who likes these pies have never had a good homemade pie in their life. Terrible. Can't believe they make money off this.
Slurry mess. Does not resemble French heritage or Acadian heritage. Would not recommend. For the spend I believe there are better options. High in sodium.
The beef in my pie was hot and tender and deliciously soaked in gravy, but not too much as to overwhelm chunks of meat. I was a tad disappointed that my crust wasn’t flakier as a flaky crust just makes the dish the piece de resistance it has the chance to be but the crust was still darn tasty.
Tried their pumpkin pie today. Absolute heaven! I've only ever tried their dessert pies and I would highly recommend them for any occasion. They have larger pies for dinner parties or whatever, or smaller pies to fulfill your sweet tooth cravings. :
