That... read more I order take-out with the family mechoui platter. I get them to pile everything separately on two platters and buy a couple of bags of pitas to go with it. That was people can assemble their own like a little buffet. No sauce logged soggy pita bread for me. My family LOVES it!!

You line up cafeteria style to order your food and head to a table once you have it.It's busy around lunch so the place does tend to look messy, but a lot of that has to do with people not cleaning up after themselves.The line moves quickly, the food is great and the little baclava for dessert is a perfect finishing touch.WARNING - if you're a first-timer, watch how others unroll the swarma to eat it. Taking it out of the wrap is an invitation to a sloppy lunch.

This pl... read more Shawarma Palace is one of Om’s go to places. It must be popular with multiple locations across the city (including Montgomery, Falconridge and Airdrie). This place has INSANELY good/late hours (1am on most days but 4AM on Friday and Saturday). Perfect for some late night eats. I came on a holiday Monday just before noon and it was pretty empty. Couple people took their orders to go and that was it. The staff are a well tuned machine; friendly, fast and organized. You order up front and get your food almost instantaneously.

Each time we visit, there's always a long line, but the food is definitely worth the wait. The platter meals are served in generous portions, complete with veggies, hummus, potatoes, and garlic sauce. The service is good as well. While the restaurant's ambiance could use some upgrades, you don't have to worry about that if you're there for the food. I'll definitely keep coming back!
