I ate at LeVilla Chophouse on a Sunday evening with a coworker. I ordered the 8oz filet. It was incredible! So tender, I could cut it with a fork. The only complaint is I ordered it as the chef suggested, medium rare, but it was not cooked evenly throughout. One side was medium, and the other side was rare. I like the food, but not the service. So if you are in a rush, don't go there. We arrived before 6pm as our reservation is at 6pm, we were not able to leave the restaurant till almost 9pm. Food, if served earlier, will taste much fresher, but they left in the kitchen for a bit too long, so when they land at our table, it was a bit too cool for a finer dining standard. We had the express lunch of steak sandwich and lobster bisque and the meal was amazing. I ordered a medium-well steak and it came out exactly as I ordered and the steak was unbelievably tender and juicy . Others ordered medium-rare steak and they came out exactly as it should and with no blood. Usually restaurants which can't cook steak would leave you with a pool of blood on the plate. LeVilla had left the steak to rest just enough time so that there was no blood when you cut into the meat while maintaining the medium rare status. Perfect. The lobster bisque was just divine. It was packed with flavor, rich and creamy but not too creamy as to block your arteries.This restaurant is just a hidden gem. A definitely must go for Calgarians and tourists alike.The only thing I would suggest is to prep the restaurant a little earlier - when it opened for lunch, we found the staff still moping the floor - making the place very slippery and dangerous.

This place truly a real gem. I am so surprised that I haven't heard more people raving about this place. We happened across this place and have been really impressed by the quality of the service, food, drink and atmosphere in this place. We have just arrived back from yet another incredible meal in Le Villa, and just had to review it. We were served tonight by a very experienced, pleasant and knowledgeable server. She was extremely helpful and made excellent recommendations. We found the selection of wines and cocktails to be very varied and excellent in their variety and range. The atmosphere is sophisiated yet realaxed and not over stuffy. The menu itself provides choice for a variety of palates and tastes. For starters we ordered the baked Camembert and lamb cutlets. Both of the starters were impeccable in taste, presentation and value. Our mains included the trout and beef fillet. The trout was served with scallops, lobster risotto and a salad. The whole dish was cooked to perfection and impeccably seasoned. Despite the portion itself being quite substantial, it was light and not at all heavy. We finished the meal with a home made creme brulee, which like the rest of the meal was incredible.We were informed that all the deserts on the menu were home made, so suffice to say it was difficult one! We would highly recommend this place and will definitely be going back.
We returned to LeVilla Chophouse on 4th Street and once again, the food was fantastic. The appetizers were delicious, the steaks were excellent, and they had a great selection of wine. The service was also top-notch. We will definitely be recommending this restaurant and will be returning in the future. Thank you!
