Ihop - Calgary
Ihop
Description
At this restaurant, the dining experience is a mixed bag. While many patrons praise the delicious food and attentive service, others lament the inconsistent customer interactions, particularly at the host station. Despite some long waits during peak hours and a few service hiccups, the peaceful ambiance and generous portion sizes make it a family-friendly choice. Vegan options and quality ingredients further enhance its appeal, ensuring many diners are eager to return. However, some customers suggest that management should address pricing and service quality to improve overall satisfaction in this fast-paced environment.

I can't comment on the food since we didn't even make it past the entrance. The customer service was very unwelcoming! This happened early this afternoon during our first visit to IHOP in Calgary. We were the only ones at the front desk, and we weren't greeted at all. While we asked to look at the menu, it was simply handed to us without any warmth. One staff member was busy working on the computer, and after briefly looking at the menu, we asked for a table for two. Sadly, we received no acknowledgment afterward. One staff member walked away without saying a word or making eye contact, possibly to prepare a table, while the other completely ignored us. The atmosphere felt very uninviting, so we decided to leave. We won’t be returning.
Great date spot! I go after school sometimes and it's a relaxing place to fill up on food.
I was just in the mood for some pancakes and even called ahead to place my order. I opted for a 5-stack, but it took over 35 minutes to get them. Yikes! I’m glad I didn't add bacon to my order, or I might still be waiting. On a brighter note, I wasn’t nearly as frustrated as the Skip the Dishes driver—he seemed like he was about to lose it. Apparently, pancake night is pretty hectic!
