I finished my meeting early and found this restaurant conveniently located next door. The meal was extremely satisfying, with delicious flavors and endless refills of coffee. The waitress was attentive in keeping my cup full. The service was prompt and the price was reasonable for the amount of food I received. The restaurant is in a great location, right across from the Passport office, making it a convenient spot to relax after dealing with the lineups next door.
I really enjoy the food at this restaurant, which is reasonably priced at around $10.00 to $12.00. My favorite dish is the Pan Scramblers with toast. The staff is always friendly, which is why I make it a point to visit about once a week.
We are by no means fussy people. My husband and I ordered 2 coffees and a four egg omelette with bacon and red onion to share, with fruit on the side. Value wise, the portion was great for both of us. We ordered chicken fingers and fries for our daughter, which looked good. $25 total for all. My husband found a hair in the omelette but we decided to just take it out and shake it off. When we started eating the fruit cup, there was a big black hair on the pineapple. Obviously we did not eat it and when the waitress came, I asked her if they wear hair nets in the back because we had found two hairs in our food. I explained we wouldn't make a big deal about it but wanted to make sure they were wearing hair nets. She said they do and would mention it to the kitchen. When she brought the bill, she said the cook told her "the hair was from the pineapple factory because he could not remove it and that he would contact the pineapple factory to let them know." Really? That is honestly the most ridiculous statement I have EVER heard about hair in food! Especially when it was fresh cut pineapple! When we went to pay, we noticed all the kitchen staff NOT wearing hair nets, but hats instead. All of the kitchen staff had black hair, coincidence? Probably not. Anyway we did not receive a discount on our food, which we didn't make a big deal about because as I said, we aren't fussy people. But I would definitely not recommend eating here, as they obviously don't use safe food practices.
The parking situation is terrible. Be cautious when reversing. While most waitresses are adequate, the booths are quite small and may not accommodate everyone.
