Located inside the Westley Hotel in Downtown Calgary, Fonda Fora is an innovative contemporary Mexican restaurant created by Thank You Hospitality. Award-winning Chef Emilio Montenegro, known for his work in Mexico and around the world, has developed a menu inspired by his Northern Mexican roots. Our focus on heirloom corn from Mexico sets us apart - we import four varieties directly from local farms to ensure top-quality dishes. From our Sope to our Tamal and hand-made Tortillas, every bite reflects the essence of Mexican cuisine. Overall our experience here was really wonderful. At first glance the place is comforting and cozy but also very modern. Very nice place to take friends and family members our for dinner. The kitchen was open concept but not hectic, it was a very romantic atmosphere in all senses. We expected good food and were surprised by amazing food. The mushroom Flatbread blew us away and the beet dish is a must try. Each drink we tried has its own twist and was incredible. Service was kind but not overwhelming. One of the best nights we had out in a while. We will definitely be returning!
The staff were extremely accommodating to our large group and were very attentive. This is a fantastic casual spot for breakfast.
