Terrible experience! This was my first visit, booked through a prepaid Taste the City tour package that included gratuity. Despite the restaurant being half emp... read more Terrible experience! This was my first visit, booked through a prepaid Taste the City tour package that included gratuity. Despite the restaurant being half empty, we were seated at the bar right by the service area, even though other bar seats were free. The kitchen staff stared at us as we sat down and shouted at the hostess, “Are they even drinking?” Then they told the kitchen team to hurry up with our food. When we asked if we could move to one of the empty tables and order a drink, they had to check with the manager. The manager eventually seated us at a table, but the food arrived immediately afterward, and only then did they ask if we wanted a drink—too late, as the meal felt rushed. We were served diced tomato with pesto sauce, which wasn’t even on their menu. From seating to leaving, the whole visit took less than 10 minutes, despite being advertised as a 30-40 minute experience costing about $45 per tasting spot. I felt unwelcome and very disappointed. They really shouldn’t take part in this program if they don’t want those customers. I’m sure I’ll be sharing this story for a while.
