Big Rock Grill - Calgary

Big Rock Grill located inside the Big Rock Brewery is quickly becoming my favorite place to go for lunch. They have 20 or so different craft beer

I have to say that I have lived for many years in Calgary and for whatever reason we had never visited this little eatery before. Was I ever impressed. Decor is very nice inside and outside on the patio. We chose the patio. Our server Janet was super. Helped with our drink order for beer. Our appt was a pretzel with mustard. Mains were Salmon plate special for my wife, I had the Bratwurst Duo. Both were very good. Mine had 2 full bratwurst so, 1 from Austria and the second from Germany. The sauerkraut was to die for. Warm and very tasty. For dessert we has the Raspberry and ice cream with vodka and whipped cream. Nice. Was a bit pricey but definitely worth it. Now that we know we certainly won't be strangers. Down side is that the time they are open is limited to lunch hour Mon-Fri.

The food is always outstanding and the service is wonderful. Always busy at lunch time but they take their time to get your orders right and out quickly. I have never had a bad meal or service here. Highly recommend you take home a pie after your meal! Delicious!

Stopped in for lunch with my wife and mom.Just stumbled on the place.We sat outside on a beautiful day.Our server Tawnya,was great from the very start.Helped pick a beer (it is a brewery) and made us all laugh.The food was very good .My Mom said her calmer was best she has had.I had the pie lunch special .the pie pastry was really light and flaky .The standout for all of us was Tawnya,call her Toni ,she taking the name for a spin !

Once again, great food, great atmosphere and fantastic service. Be sure to try the lunch specials, it comes with some tasty fresh cookies.
